Thomson seat posts feature a sleek, low profile design and a long (41 mm) seat rail grip length. It is totally symmetrical, and can't be installed in the bike backwards.

Thomson seat posts are 40% stronger than any other seat post on the market. Manufactured from a single piece of high-strength 7000 series aluminum, it offers optimum strength at low weight (228 grams MTB).

"Impact absorbing" clamps are made from forged (high-strength) aluminum, have a plus or minus 17 degrees tilt capability, and are designed to protect the seat rails from bending. Under high impact loads, other seat post simply break, putting the rider in serious danger. Thomson seat posts are designed with a unique bending fuse which allows the post to bend before any part fails.

Each production lot is thoroughly tested for the ultimate strength and fatigue before leaving the factory.
