Every unicycle has its upsides and downsides. Luckily for us, Nimbus does this cool thing where their unicycles have virtually none of the latter. They decided, "Hey, 29 inches of wheel isn't big or fast enough, we need to have something even more ridiculous that strangely still works" and the Titan was the product of this thought.

At a whopping 36 inches, this thing can get some serious speed going. Due to the size, it also takes bumps like a champ, which has been handy on the college campus I live on. Getting from point A to point B is a breeze, which suits it well, because you'll have the speed to whip up a light wind.

Of course, there are the aforementioned downsides. While this is a quality unicycle and no less, it is a steep price hike from a 29 inch wheel. And even with that, 450 is the sort of price you pay that would be considered "enough to make it happen." Some of the parts aren't stellar, but since we're dealing with Nimbus here, even the lower end products are still incredible. The pedals are a bit small, the frame very basic, and the seat handles somewhat flimsy, but overall, these are trivial compared to the sheer amusement of watching heads turn.

A+ unicycle. If you want speed, the Titan is your friend.

  3. Good Basic Ride 5 Star Review

I've put around 100 miles on my new Titan in the first month. Rides very smooth. I got just the basic setup with no brake or touring handle. This is a basic ride, but very solid. I like the fact that UDC tries hard to make parts interchangeable. I see some upgrades in my future. If I have one complaint, it is that the pedals feel small under my size 13 feet. Just ordered an upgrade for that. The padding on the seat is firm, but so far seems comfortable enough. The Titan is a great way to get started on a 36.

  4. great for long distance rides 5 Star Review

This is a great unicycle and a head turner. It takes some getting used to, because the big wheel makes it difficult to start and stop. I still haven't figured out how to idle effectively. I just did a 7 mile ride with my wife. Now she can enjoy a casual ride on her bicycle, while I get a serious core workout! Great fun!

  5. At long last! 5 Star Review

I received a Nimbus Titan for Christmas this year, after many years of wanting a commuter. It's exactly what I had hoped for. Just got back from a two mile ride to break it in, and I want to go right back out. The balance is impeccable, the speed makes for a true commuter ride. It's like flying. I love my Nimbus!

  6. Draws attention!!! 5 Star Review

I love this unicycle. I primarily bought it because I wanted a unicycle that stands out over normal size unicycles. I love the old penny farthings and this unicycle reminds me of them. I put 125mm cranks on and this thing will fly. I recommend the 125mm cranks if you are using this for commuting or just cruising around. You still have some control, but if you need to get somewhere quick the 125mm cranks will work great. I get so many people looking at me when I ride this unicycle. I must admit that was what I was looking for in this unicycle. I also put on the Nimbus Shadow Handle Set and it helps keep the unicycle steady when I'm on long stretches and going fast. I really love this unicycle and you will too. If you want to see a true pro that makes riding a 36er look easy check out www.unigeezer.com

This is my first 36er and I have to say I am impressed. The club seat is firm but comfortable, and the build quality overall is great. The 150 length cranks seem like a good length to learn on. Really quick shipping. A great value in large 36" unicycles.
