I am an older rider (51) who is finally graduating up from my old Schwinn that I have had for about 35+ years. I wanted a nicer unicycle but wasn't sure I wanted to spend many hundreds just yet. I wanted a wider tire so that I could learn to ride on trails in the woods around my home. Also, I really want to learn to bounce and I thought the wider tire would be good for that.
I am very happy with the quality and ease of assembly. I upgraded the pedals to the DX Muni Pedals and installed them on initial assembly. The first ride or two was a little awkward given that the tire radius is smaller than my old 24 inch AND the tire is so big around. After a couple of outings it is starting to feel more natural. One thing I have noticed is that the wide tire seems unstable to me if I am riding on the road edge where there is significant camber. The wide tire has a larger contact patch on the side on uneven asphalt which makes it want to turn and wobble. Part of the solution is rider experience, but for lots of riding on the road, the wide tire would not be my first choice. I have taken a couple short rides through the woods and find the tire to be perfect. I look forward to gaining proficiency and experience on the trails.
I am very happy with my purchase and Unicycle.com. I would definitely purchase from them again if I ever decide to get that 36er I've been looking at.
Thank you! Wish you were around (or that I knew of you) back in the 70's! (Posted on 9/4/12)

I have had this Uni for about a year now and I learned to ride on it in almost a month. I think my learning would have gone much faster with a narrower tire and a lighter weight Uni. However, it is certainly fun to ride. When the street slopes side-to-side it is more difficult than others because of the width of the tire. On perfectly flat or sloped front to back there are no challenges regarding balence. I would recommend it as an alternate Uni with a regular one as the first to learn on. I would also recommend this Uni to others, it's tough and well designed. (Posted on 8/17/12)

im glad somebody bought this uni and wrote to tell about and all seems great about it. I love the freak of nature look to it hehe. Ive been debating for a long time about purchasing a new uni seeing as I already have 2 and ride them frequently and people always get a kick out of it. With that ill always keep this model and one other in mind for when I have some extra cash later. I'd like to own a variety and make it fun. Thanks again for this site and I will continue to send people your way. (Posted on 9/21/11)

  6. Great but heavy Beast Review by fuzzy1101

I bought this unicycle a couple months ago. I am really happy with my buy. The unicycle does ride though snow and mud, but the traction on the tires could have a little more tread, because the wheel spins out pretty easily in snow. But it is pretty fun to slide down hills on! You can hit pretty much anything on this though. The thick tires act like shock absorbers making it much more comfortable to ride. Even though it says its a 20 in its more like a 22 in because the tire is so fat! The seat is really good, but check the bolts and screws to make sure they are fastened tightly(mine were a littlle loose when I got them, but I just tightened them and the seat is great) The pedals are pretty bad, but they are stock pedals so I didn't expect them to last much more than a couple days. Besides the fact that this thing is really heavy for a unicycle I found it just as easy to bounce around on due to its thick tire. But it is heavy, that is one thing to remember before buying this, tricks can still be done on it you just need a little more muscle, but it does make bouncing and tricks on other unicycles easier because they are so much lighter. Its also heavy duty though and can take a lot of beatings. And i don't know if this is too obvious but the snow terrain is a bit limited as you can only go so deep as the pedals will allow. My main concern for this unicycle is that it could have tires with better tread. They are good tires though. If you are looking to have a universal unicycle that is tough, this is a good one for you. 7. My conversation piece Review by Tweeter

I love this unicycle. I take it to the skate park sometimes and people don't believe it. Most of them aren't used to a unicycler to show up in the first place but once they see that huge tire they get to talkin'. I ride it through puddles, snow, dirt roads. The description said it would ride through sand but after a few attempts at the beach I would have to disagree. People love seeing this unicycle. It gets more attention than when I ride my other unicycles. (Posted on 1/20/11)
