Reinventing the Wheel presents the story of the struggles and success of Unicycle.com—a company launched during the dot-com bust of 1999 that has grown into a worldwide phenomenon.
Written by the founder of Unicycle.com, Reinventing the Wheel features:
• inspiration and valuable insights for anyone starting a business
• practical advice—what to do and what not to do—for all entrepreneurs
• photos, facts, and anecdotes from the one-wheeled world
With a foreword by unicycling great John Foss, Reinventing the Wheel also features special sections by author and unicyclist Carol Etter McLean, director of Unicycle Central of Minnesota, with Frequently Asked Questions on starting a unicycle club, tips for learning to ride, and the IRUS skill-building program developed by the Unicycling Society of America. Length: 171 pages.
Author John Drummond’s career has included a long association with IBM and with freelance writing. His skills as an entrepreneur took off with the creation of the Unicycle.com website, and the organization continues to be a world leader under the direction of John’s wife, Amy. John and Amy are frequent speakers at schools and business organizations. The Drummonds, who have three children and live in Georgia, also started another new enterprise in 2003, Banjo.com.
